Basic InstincT Shirt

Hey all! Summer is almost over and I’m SO relieved. Fall is my favorite season because the weather is in between and perfect. Even more perfect is being able to wear tshirts and cardigans because of the cooler temperature!

I made this Basic InstincTee by Secondo Piano for the #letssewthistogether free sewing patterns challenge as an entry. You can view all the free patterns I found on the blog and still join the challenge until the end of August (or dont join and just get a whole lot of free patterns)! During my time doing the challenge I got an idea to start creating my own capsule wardrobe for each season. And this is the second piece for my fall collection.

I got this fabric from La Mercerie during their summer sale but it’s still in stock here. I still have enough to do a colorblocked tank which I will most likely be doing, or some underwear haven’t decided yet. The fabric is 92% rayon so it breathes wonderful and has great stretch resilience. I paired this shirt with my Simplicity #8655 wide legged jeans by Mimi G. More on those later! Keep up with the capsule wardrobes using the link in the menu or check out my progress on Instagram!

I made no modifications to this pattern. It fit like a glove.

Location: the awesome historic downtown Carrollton

Have you made the Basic InstincTee before?? What’d did you think? Let me know in the comments!
